Professional Services Help You Plan Your Software Needs
ChainDrive’s integrated retail management software suite does not stand alone — it is fully backed by our Professional Services team. There are three phases in our Implementation Methodology and each one is important. Planning, implementation, and deployment are very different in the goals accomplished at each phase but of those three, planning is foundational. Without solid planning, implementation and deployment are less likely to be successful.
Building On Solid Planning
When a retail or wholesale business comes to ChainDrive for their software solution, the first thing that is done is listen. We ask questions like, “What frustrates you about your current management system?” and “Where do you hope to expand?”
Unless we understand what brought you to us for software solutions, we won’t know what will be the best recommendations for your particular business. ChainDrive has been designed and built with the input of experienced retailers and when new challenges have been brought to us, we have often added the resulting solution to our platform. Asking questions and listening to the answers is a good way to kick off planning how to proceed.
Professional Services Envisioning The Scope
Our professional services team works with your team to develop a detailed project plan that is based on the intelligent analysis of where your business has been, where you are now, and where you would like to go in the future. Scoping your business processes and needs in this way helps both teams to clarify what needs to happen. Project goals, key milestones, and deliverables are discussed so the scope of the plan can be properly defined before implementation of the software.
Validating The Vision
One more thing needs to happen before the planned software is implemented. Validating the vision of what has been planned happens through consistent project management processes. In other words, our professional services team makes sure everyone is “on the same page” by asking for feedback on the structure and quality of the software suite being planned.
Once we move into the implementation phase, it’s time to execute the plan, test the real-life application, and train your staff to use these new tools. Our goal is to implement ChainDrive into your business with minimal disruption to daily operations. Once implementation is complete, the deployment stage transitions your business from the Professional Services Team to ChainDrive Client Care for consistent availability and support.
